My name is Maddie Rose, and I am a country singer/songwriter from Fort Worth, Texas. I wrote “Cowboy You Deserve” on my bedroom floor after I went to “The Great Divide” concert and met a boy who I thought was going to be the “cowboy” of my dreams! Turns out I had it completely wrong. A “cowboy” in my book at the time was someone who was a respectful gentleman that wore boots, jeans, and a cowboy hat. The boy turned out to be not who I thought he was, and he used his costume of a “cowboy” to blur the lines. I learned the lesson everyone has to learn someday when it comes to relationships and as cliche as it sounds, it doesn’t matter what somebody looks like on the outside that defines who they are, it’s who they are on the inside. I hope ” Cowboy You Deserve” helps people realize the worth of themselves when they fall in love.
